Following on the heels of BEST OF SHOW for Most Innovative Business Application at Flash Memory Summit, ioFABRIC has been honored with the EMA Vendor to Watch award. You can see the write up here.
I am very proud of this award. It highlights ioFABRIC Vicinity’s features and the strong business benefits it provides. EMA rightly noted that current software-defined storage solutions do not provide fully-automated management functions such as provisioning or QoS in the same way Vicinity does, or do so at the expense of not supporting existing storage infrastructure. Vicinity was designed to solve the headaches of administrators – it automates across diverse storage resources while enabling customers to continue to leverage their existing SAN and NAS storage infrastructure.
It may sound too good to be true – but it’s not. ioFABRIC is looking at storage in a whole new way and the industry is taking note. Mark Peters from ESG said it best: “Automated solutions such as ioFABRIC’s Vicinity are an excellent way for organizations to optimally leverage their existing storage investments by ensuring that only the most-important data is utilizing the most-expensive storage media while using commodity hardware for plain capacity purposes – all achieved without the traditional management headaches and costs of doing it manually.”
During the Flash Memory Summit in California this year, we saw clear interest and demand for new storage solutions. Vicinity centralizes storage management, simplifies the deployment of flash, and improves storage utilization – delivering application-specific Quality of Service levels. Come check us out!
